Valters Zviedris is one of the fastest and most promising young racing pilots in the Baltics. He has won the Latvian Karting Championship five times in his career. Last season he was third in the NEZ Legends Cars Championship and second in the Legends Cars World Finals Semi-Pro class.
Please describe the auto24ring track - what do you like or not like about it?
I started my road racing career in auto24ring and I enjoy the track because it is very fast. I am always happy to see the big crowd of spectators on the race day. The track is fast and it allows close racing and interesting fights during the race.
What are your plans for this season?
My plans are to show the best I can do in every race and try to win the NEZ championship. I am always all for a fair and interesting race.
Tell us about your racing career in 5 (or maybe a couple more) sentences.
I started racing go-karts when I was just 5 years old and still race them. I can't imagine myself without racing and all the sounds and smells. It's never enough for me, I always want to grow and drive something faster. I have tested F4 and V8 Thundercar - I had so much fun and joy to drive them, it was a great experience for me. The Legend Cars racing helped me understand the road racing "life" and how to drive smart. If you want to be fast in Legend Cars, you need to be fast, smart, patient and of course lucky. Looking forward to the future ,who knows how far I will get.
What advice would you give to a young kid who is only starting out as a racing driver?
I would suggest to drive and drive and drive because no one is born the best. To be the best, you need to put in much work and a lot of training to get better.

How would you characterise auto24ring - what are the good and bad points of the track?
My racing career started at the Auto24ring and I enjoy this track because it is very fast. It's always great to see a big crowd on race day. It's a fast track and allows you to drive close to your competitors during the race and make some exciting overtakes.
What are your plans for this season?
I want to do my best in every race and try to win the Northern European Championship. I'm always in favour of fair and exciting racing.
In 5 sentences, describe your racing journey.
I started sword racing when I was only 5 years old and I still compete in it. I can't imagine my life without racing and all the sounds and smells. I can never get enough, I want to keep evolving and racing something faster. I've tried the F4 and the V8 Thundercar - they were very fierce and fun to drive, it was a great experience for me. Competing in the Legend Cars class helped me to understand what 'life' is like on the racetrack and how to drive smart. If you want to be fast in the Legend Cars class, you have to drive fast and smart, be patient and you definitely have to be lucky. I'm looking forward to what the future holds, who knows how far I'll get.
What advice would you give to a young guy just starting his racing career?
My advice is to drive, drive and drive again, because nobody is born the best. To be the best, you have to work hard and train hard to get faster.
