The best virtual racer will get to sit next to the Estonian supercar Kalana at the Estonian Grand Prix, which will take place at the Porsche Ring in Pärnu from 9-11 August.
To do this, you need to drive Assetto Corsa simulator best lap time with virtual Oldbac Kalanga. The deadline is 4 August. The simulator is a 2023 version of the Oldbac Kalana created by IER Simulations from real car data.
Urmas Riis, winner of a similar virtual race in June, was able to ride Kalana's sidecar on the Bikernieki track in Riga. "The driving experience was unforgettable. The forces I experienced in the side seat of the Kalana were just mind-boggling," said Riis. "The car has such a strong downforce that it seems like there is no end to the grip in the corners and the driver Tõnis Vanaselja didn't hold back either."
The Oldbac Kalana is a two-seater supercar prototype developed by engineers who have grown out of student uniforms in Estonia. The car is designed for aerodynamic downforce, offering an F1-like driving experience for two. The vehicle is powered by a free-revving V8 engine developed by JUDD for Le Mans racing, which develops 610 horsepower and 11 000 rpm.
