Due to the relaxation of the corona restrictions, spectators will be allowed to the Henkell Estonian Grand Prix on 18-20 June. Now it will be a real race, with a number of top riders from the Baltic States and the Nordic countries taking to the track, and fans will be able to watch them on the track.
Yesterday, the Estonian government announced that restrictions on koruna could be relaxed and that up to 1,000 participants would be allowed in free evening sports events. Now we too can give a limited number of motorsport fans the chance to come to the stands and cheer on their favourites.
The BMW 325 CUP class has the largest number of participants in the last ten years and all three Baltic States are represented. It's going to be an intense race. Five Estonians will compete in the BMW 325 CUP class, including Kristo Krinpus, who is undoubtedly one of the favourites.
The BEC 6H is a race where world-class fast cars compete in a 6-hour race - several Lamborghini Huracans, Porsche 911 GT3 Porsche Cayman GT4, several TCR cars - Volkswagen, Audi, CUPRA and many other fast cars.
The TCR and GT sprint races are a serious showdown for Baltic and Finnish racers against spectacular cars - Corvettes, Lamborghinis, Nissan GTRs, Audi TTRS - all proper supercars with over 400 hp. Estonians have high expectations. Estonian racer Mikk Maaten plans to win the prestigious TCR title this season.
The historic Formula One race will be exciting, with Estonia Formula One cars built in Estonia, in which Estonians have always had excellent results and high podium finishes.
The Estonian Grand Prix is the 7th edition of the Nordic-Baltic Circuit, with nearly 120 participants from 9 countries. In 2021, the event will be part of the BaTCC (Baltic Touring Car Championship) and will be called the Henkell Estonian Grand Prix 2021, thanks to major sponsor Henkell.
