Tradition

In addition to modern racing cars, many historic formula cars will also take part in the event. HISTORY

The Estonian circuit racing tradition dates back to the 1930s. Exactly 93 years ago, in 1933, the first Estonian Grand Prix took place. Just a year later, the event was held as an international race, with drivers from Finland, Sweden and Germany also taking part. During the Soviet period, Estonian circuit racers ranked among the top competitors of the socialist countries, which was the highest international level at which our athletes were able to compete for political reasons.

An important chapter in the history of Estonian circuit racing is the Formula Estonia. Over the course of 44 years, a total of 1,331 cars were produced at a factory on Hobujaama Street in Tallinn, which operated under various names at different times. This production volume secures a place for the Formula Estonia among the top ten formula car manufacturers in the world for many years to come.
